Learn about fabulous Florida wildlife! Dedicated to the rehabilitation and release of injured, sick, or orphaned wildlife, or if an animal cannot care for itself in nature, it has a home for life at the Peace River Wildlife Center, all on display for public viewing. Open daily from 11 am till 4 pm. Admission is free but donations are gratefully accepted.

Sightseeing tour boats will take you on out-island day cruises, Eco-tours, sunset cruises, harbor tours, and special events. They offer full-day out island trips to Cabbage Key, Cayo Costa, and Boca Grande, half-day harbor or eco-style river cruises, afternoon harbor cruises, and they can even provide private charters. Octagon is a rescue facility and safe haven for animals needing special care. You can see over 130 exotic animals including tigers, bears, alligators, lions, primates, lemurs, and many more. Pack a picnic lunch and spend the day.  They are wheelchair accessible and have beverages available for purchase, with multiple areas to sit, eat, relax, or cool off at the misting stations.
